Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F
Combine 1 cup flour, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add and water heated to 120˚F-130˚F and follow recipe instructions. Always use a thermometer to check temperature. Mix until well blended, about 1 minute.
Gradually add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Dough should form a ball and will be slightly sticky.
Knead on a floured surface, adding additional flour if necessary, until smooth and elastic, about 4 minutes.
Let dough rest for 10 minutes.
Pat dough with floured hands to fill greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Or, you could roll dough on a floured counter to 12-inch circle; place in greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Form a rim by pinching the edge of the dough.
Spread barbecue sauce over pizza. Add pulled pork, cheese, and onions.
Bake on lowest oven rack for 12 to 15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and crust is browned.
Notes
Here are some tips for working with the yeast in this recipe:The right temperature of the water is going to determine how successful your crust is. Too hot, it will kill the yeast...too cold, and it won't activate. If you have a food thermometer, use it! If not, just make sure it's not too hot. Also, make sure the yeast isn't expired, as that could keep it from rising. The nutritional data is for 2 slices, or 1/4 of the pizza.Did you make this recipe?
