Weight Watchers has changed a lot over the years. The WW plan I am currently on (purple, in case you’re wondering!) is a far cry from my mother’s Weight Watchers plans of the 80’s (she was a WW coach way back when, so trust me when I know that the program works and also trust me when I say I’ve tasted every fat-free cheese and butter product the 80’s could produce!). The one thing that hasn’t changed is that WW has always been based on the lastest scientific nutritional information available – and that is the still the case today. Luckily, today’s plans focus on lots of veggies and whoel foods, and this Weight Watchers Crock Pot Turkey Chili is no exception!

Can I have chili on WW?
Yes! One of the joys of this program is that you are not restricted on any foods. You just have to track it (if you bite it, write it…that’s how the old adage goes). This chili uses lean ground turkey, which is actually a zero point food on some plans!
The beauty of this chili is simplicity. After a few minutes of prep and sauteing, then just throw it in the crock pot and voila! A meal for the entire family…and then some. And let’s not forget the smell! I love coming home to a house filled with the aromas of a home cooked meal, especially if I’ve had a long day at work. You just can’t beat it!
Since we’re talking slow cookers, this is a great, budget-friendly slow cooker.
Can I freeze chili?
Yep! Freeze in an air-tight container. I recommend these awesome freezer cubes for storing in handy, one-cup portions.
How many WW points is chili?
There are so many factors that go into a chili recipe, every recipe is going to be different. And there are currently three different WW plans to choose from (purple, blue, green), with each one counting certain foods a little differently. So it’s hard to give a points value to chili that would fit all chili recipes across the board.
You’ll love this chili recipe because it is ZERO points on two of the plans, and just 5 points on the other plan!
This particular chili recipe comes in with the following points (per serving):
Blue plan: 0
Green plan: 5
Purple plan: 0
Serves 8, so portion out 1/8 of the finished recipe for each serving.

Hi. What is serving size for crock pot turkey chili? Looks delicious !
Hi Rebecca! Each serving size is around 1.5 cups.
With the new points system, if ground turkey breast is used, I think this meal is zero points. :-). Definitely going to try it, thank you !
Oooh, thanks for letting me know! I need to update with the new points!
Are the beans canned or whole? If whole do you soak overnight?
Many thanks
Either is fine! The author of this post, Chellie, has this to say about beans:
I’m able to get all my dried beans from a local source, so I actually purchase them all in October, and use them during the year. I’ve found the best way for me to save time, because they do take longer to prepare, is to cook a bunch of them in my slow cooker, and then freeze them in quart size bags. Then when I’m ready to use them for a recipe like this one, I have them at the ready. They don’t take too long to thaw.
What is the serving size
Hi, I would like to try the weight watchers turkey chili crockpot recipe. Did you use dry or canned Navy, Pinto, and kidney beans? I am assuming canned… But thought I better check.
Thank you,
Carol
Either is fine! Most people will use canned.
