A couple months ago I was listening to a Brett Larkin podcast about how to make yoga a daily practice. From that podcast sprung this printable 40 day yoga tracker, which I’ve made available in both 8.5×11 and A5 – and so far, it’s really working for me!

So, you’ll really need to listen to the whole podcast to get all of the tips for making a daily yoga practice a real habit. What I took from it was that a good way to get started is a 40-day yoga practice. As in, 40 days in a row. And that’s where I’m at right now, as I write this…working my way through the 40 days (today will be day 8).

I’m just coming off the Couch to 5K training program, and my plan is to continue jogging several times a week. You know what motivated me more than almost anything on the toughest days of the program?

Knowing that when I got home I could check off a box on my C25K tracker. Cheesy, I know, but I’m a list-maker – and rewarding myself by marking things “complete” feels so good. Sometimes I powered through a run just so I could check it off on the tracker. And so I’m using a similar tactic with this yoga printable.

How do I use a printable yoga tracker?

Print this yoga tracker off in either 8.5×11 or A5. As you can see, the one I’m using is an A5 version. I printed it on sticker paper and stuck it in my regular planner.

Every day you complete your yoga practice, check off or color in a circle. Or, use a cute sticker. These adorable yogi stickers are from Libbie & Co. on Etsy – you can find lots of cute choices on Etsy!

How does a 40 day yoga challenge work?

I decided that it doesn’t matter what class I choose, or how long it is – the important thing is that I am doing yoga every day. I do set a minimum of 15 minutes to practice, but I choose the class based on the day. YouTube has a ton of classes to choose from. You could also find a book and choose a couple of yoga flows that you like. I really don’t think it matters what class or routine you do…I think the point is to get on the mat every day and see where that takes you.

You can download your free printable 40-day yoga tracker below. Just click on the black “download” button and you’ll see both files – A5 and 8.5×11 – combined into one document. If you have trouble, please email us at [email protected] and we can send you the files.
