I drink tea every single day. I never, ever, ever drink sweet tea, though. I just do not like it. But, I’ll drink flavored teas or an Arnold Palmer when I have the chance…and those are always sweet! So basically, I like my tea sweet when it’s flavored and that is all.
But still…I almost never buy these drinks because of all the sugars that go into making them (not that I have anything against sugar, but…if I’m going to consume it, it’s going to be in solid form). A sweetened drink is a rare treat for me.
But then I learned that you can make your own, honey-based simple syrup to sweeten your drink with. And I have no problems with putting honey in my drinks (I know! It’s kind of the same thing, but…it seems a little bit healthier than scopping *actual* white sugar into my tea).
This week, you can see how simple it is to make your own Orange Infused Honey Simple Syrup over at Life, Love & Thyme (she even shows you where to find local honey!).
Be sure to check out the recipe for Orange Infused Honey Simple Syrup here.

Wow sounds divine! You still drink that much tea huh?!
I decided I won’t give it up for anything!
Such a great idea to taste tea in a different type of tea. Thanks for sharing.
