12 Days of Christmas Printables, Day 10: Let it Snow!

12 Days of Christmas Printables, Day 10: Let it Snow!

I haven’t done much whining about the winter storm, Cleon, that swept through Texas and much of the United States these last few days, so I’ll go ahead and do that now.

You guys. It’s been cold. But it’s not the cold I’m complaining about, so much – it’s all the ice!

For three days and then some, most of the roads in Dallas were covered in ICE. We finally ventured out tonight (after four days of being stuck inside, and three of us sick, to boot), and there was still ice on the bridges – and that’s really the thing about ice in Texas.

Texas has more bridges than any other state in America (go ahead and fact check that!), and it’s kind of crazy – for being a relatively flat state, it seems like you’re always driving over a bridge. And bridges turn to ice when it gets cold and wet.

And because we live in TEXAS, where icy conditions only happen a day or two out of each year (if that), we don’t have big machines to clear the roads or cover them in salt or whatever it is you cover them in. So when it turns to ice, we are pretty much stuck (remember the Superbowl a couple years ago?).

Today’s printable is a result of the crappy weather we’ve been experiencing. Because honestly – I would take snow over ice any day.

Let it Snow!

The print above is actually printed on vellum (vellum that we originally bought to make our own wedding invitations 13 YEARS ago and are still holding onto because there are only so many things you can use snowy vellum for, you know?) and then backed on a blue piece of scrapbook paper (which is probably pretty close to 13 years old itself, now that I think about it).

You can print your own by clicking on the image below.

So, yes…let it snow! And take this ice far, far away!
