Fruity Green Smoothie Recipe

Fruity Green Smoothie Recipe

I have one particular smoothie that I make several times a week. I’d make it every day, if I wasn’t always running out of spinach or pineapple.

I like it because it’s a dairy-free, juice-free green smoothie – and it still tastes delicious.

Fruity Green Smoothie

This is made from whole foods (fruits and spinach!), and is even kid-friendly.

  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 1/2 cup tropical frozen fruit mix (I either buy pre-mixed frozen fruit at Kroger or cut it up and freeze it myself – I use a mix of mango, pineapple, and strawberries)
  • 1 cup spinach (I cram as much as I can into my single-serve blender)
  • 1 cup water (just add more if it’s too thick)
  • Optional: handful of mint (I love mint in my smoothies, but it does give it some kick!)

How to make it:

  • Put it all together and blend it!

My kids will drink this, and they know it has spinach in it. That’s how fruity it is.

I love it because it tastes good, but also because it is really filling. I usually have this for breakfast or for my mid-afternoon CRASH around 3:00 PM.

It’s also easy to add flaxseed to this smoothie.

Drink up!

This looks amazing! I can’t wait to try it. I put spinach from my garden in smoothies too! But, it’s beginning to bolt now, so I’ll be trying this soon. Thanks for sharing. Pinned.

I love this! I’m such a nerd though, I only use berries…try to avoid the sugar in pineapple. I know I know….I’m working on it!

Sound interesting. I haven’t gotten into green smoothies yet

This one sounds about the same as mine…but I haven’t tried avocado..or mint. I’ll have to throw those in one morning. I cannot get my kids to drink them though.

This smoothie looks GOOD
I’ve actually never tasted something like this – with all these ingredients together
I’m intrigued,
If I make it, I’d better not tell my husband what’s in it (LOL)

So going to try this. Great way for me to sneak in more veggies.

This recipe looks amazing! I love smoothies and drink one almost everyday! Can’t wait to try it! I am just starting out in the blogging world, and aspire to post great things like this! I have a few to share! Thanks!

Nice. Will have to try this combo! Never tried one with avocado before. My go to recipe is spinach , banana, mango and peach with some blueberries. I like to add some orange too if I have it, as then I can add less water.

Ben LOVES smoothies.

I tried it with kale and actually thought it was pretty good. I did not like swiss chard.

How many points would this be?

what can be substituted instead of the AVO. my son can’t have AVO and i really like this recipe//
