You are going to love this fun Star Wars soap – and you can totally make it yourself!
A few weeks ago, we bought these really cute silicone Star Wars molds, and I’ve been using them for all kinds of fun things (did you see my Star Wars crayons?). The larger molds were just begging me to use them for some soap-making.
Not that I’m a soap maker or anything. Oh, no…not even close. But last year for Christmas, my sister-in-law sent us a really fun Soap Making Kit, and the kids and I had a ton of fun with it. So I thought I’d do something similar with these Star Wars molds, and they turned out so cute – perfect for the bathroom or to wrap up in cute little baggies and use as gifts!
Here’s how to make your own Star Wars soap (and I’ll be very clear – soap making is a real science, and I’m not pretending to know a thing about it…but this is what I did, and we love our soap!).
First, here’s what you need to get started. I bought everything on Amazon, because Amazon Prime, but you could probably pick everything up at your local craft store or Walmart/Target.
- Silicone Star Wars molds (you can use these for so many things)
- 1 lb Glycerin Melt and Pour Soap Base
- Essential oils (I used some of my Young Living oils, but these oils also look great!)
- Microwave-safe measuring cup
- Wooden spoon
Melt down your soap. I melted it in the microwave, putting it in for a minute, stirring, then another minute…repeating until it was nice and soft.
Once your soap is melted down, drop in your essential oils. Less is more – you can always add more if you need them. I added about 15 drops of lavender oil.
Mix well, and then pour into the molds.
Let the soap set. Once completely hard, simply pop out of the molds.
Find me on Facebook for easy recipes, free printables, super simple kid-friendly crafts, and things to do in Dallas. I’d love to have you join me over there.

Love these! how many soaps did 1lb make?
I wish I could remember exactly how much…but it was a lot, because I have a bunch away!
