Another day, another butter. OK…that just came out of nowehere but I think it might be new motto. Or a new website. Are there websites devoted to butter? Surely there are, but the world could always use another, right?! Check out my Pumpkin Pie Butter if you need convicing! On a serious(ish) note, this Cinnamon Frosting Butter will change your life and make everyone that you feed it to happy.
Cinnamon Frosting Butter
What is Cinnamon Frosting Butter?
Well, it’s butter. But it tastes like frosting because honestly, it is also basically frosting. This is something that has been passed down for generations in my family. It’s only three ingredients, it’s very easy to make, and it will last in the fridge for a couple of weeks (but honestly I’ve never tested that theory because in this house, it would never last two weeks before we ate it all).
This is definitely NOT one of my healthy recipes. So if you’re here for the 21 Day Fix or Weight Watchers, I’m sorry. You can go ahead and skip this one (or, save it for a special occasion).
And speaking of special occasions, that’s really the only time we ever make this. It’s definitely a holiday treat.
How do I use my Cinnamon Frosting Butter?
- Gifts – make a giant batch and serve in cute jars or reusable plastic containers. Add the printable label included in this post and you’ve officially got friends, teachers, coworkers, and neighbors covered!
- Pancakes
- Toast
- Rolls
- French Toast
- Waffles
- Holidays – great for Thanksgiving, Christmas breakfast or dinner (on rolls, y’all…so good), Easter…every holiday is basically just waiting for you to add some Cinnamon Frosting Butter to your menu.
OK, now that I’ve got you convinced that you need this butter in your life, here’s how to make it (so easy!).

Butter (Kerry Gold is my favorite butter…yes, it will at least double your cost but OMG it’s the best. The. Best.)

You’ll also need a mixer (I use this inexpensive hand mixer).
These jars are as cute as they get if you’re looking for a fun way to gift this.
