Aldi Charcuterie Board

My favorite thing about visiting my local winery is, of course, the wine…but also the charcuterie board. They put together the most gorgeous trays of cheese, crackers, meats, fruits, and spreads. Charcuterie boards are a super easy way to feed a crowd. Or, you can pull one together for an easy dinner idea. The one I want to share with you today is an Aldi Charcuterie Board that will feed 8-10 people, and on a budget at that!

First of all, if you’re new here, welcome to Aldi Week! I’m sharing a week’s-worth of budget-friendly recipes using some of our favorite finds from everyone’s favorite budget grocery store, Aldi. If you don’t have an Aldi, it’s ok – you can find everything you see here at your local grocery store. If you do have an Aldi, be sure to check out all the rest of the Aldi recipes I have here.

What is a Charcuterie board?

A Charcuterie Board is like a cheese tray, but meat is the star. Charcuter is a word that means cold, cooked meats in a general sort of way. The spread I’m sharing with you today has a selection of smoked meats but also tons of cheeses, breads, etc. However, I went with Charcuterie Board to explain it because I feel like that gets the point across.

How to make a Charcuterie board

Luckily for you, there are no hard rules on how to make a Charcutier board! Because charcuterie does mean meat, I feel like you should include some meat on it (or, call it a Cheese Tray instead). But aside from that, the sky is the limit.

The key is to include lots of things for people to snack on. Ideally, the foods should all go well together. But because people will be snacking on it, it’s kind of a free-for-all of deliciousness!

Charcuterie Board on a Budget

What I love the very most about this pretty collection of meats, cheeses, olives, and snacks is that it was super inexpensive. The total for everything was $80. This will feed 8-10 people, and many of the items you buy will have quite a bit left over. We still have a fridge full of salami, cheese curds, and olives (just to name a few of the things we didn’t finish). Also, our pantry is well-stocked with all the crackers and chips we didn’t use! And we also have apples, grapes, and lots of veggies.

I bought everything at Aldi. Every. Single. Thing. This is the kind of stuff I love Aldi for the very most. You just cannot beat these prices.

Here’s what I included in this Aldi Charcuterie Board (see the exact amounts in the recipe card below):

Brie Cheese Round

Garlic & Chive Pita Crackers

Bite Size Salami

Apples

Cheddar Cheese Curds

Oven Roasted Almonds with Sea Salt

French Baguette

Prosciutto

Black Olives

Green Olives

Pepper Jack Cheese

Salsa

French Onion Dip

Buttery Round Crackers

Baby Carrots

Broccoli

Grape Tomatoes

Parmesan Crisps

Sea Salt Pita Chips

Red Pepper Hummus

Grapes

Dried Apricots

Apricot Preserves

Popcorn (I went with the Aldi Dill Pickle Popcorn to switch things up)

In the recipe card below, I share how much of every item I used so you can set up a similar spread. If people eat all of the food you put out, you’ll have more of most items waiting in the background. What you don’t use, you can incorporate into your own meals the following week.

Don’t worry too much about making it look right – just use whatever bowls, plates, and cutting boards you have around the house. I happen to have a lot because I have a bunch of photo props that I brought out to play! I have a little island, and the food took up the entire space.
